  Tape Baking

Some analog tape gets "sticky" as it ages. The tape is dehydrated through a special process called "tape baking," which often makes the tape temporarily playable – long enough to mix or transfer the content to a digital format.

We can bake 1/4", 1/2", 1", and 2" reels. Similar tape formats can be baked as a batch. A batch would include as many of the same width reels of tape as space allows. For example, several 1/4” reels can be baked at the same time or several 1/2” reels can be baked at the same time. 2" reels must be baked individually.
